Our boss is considering equipping our field personnel with gopro helmets to monitor their work and attendance.

Does anyone see any potential privacy or related issues?

What type of work is done by field personnel?

What are the guidelines regarding camera usage? Lunch break? Bathroom break?

they maintain our equipment in the field. They are to wear it during the times they are clocked in. It was suggested to verify overtime being charged by our personnel as we had no other way of checking if they are really working beyond 8 hours

Big brother is watching.

It may be reasonable if the helmet is part of the required equipment/uniform.

But there should be limits also, IMO.

Just like body cameras of police.

You may want to consider also the policies of other institutions IF your guys will go there for the work to be done. There is a RA re public space surveillance, but the IRR has yet to be finalized.
How about issuing them equipment with embedded RFID? they don't need to know about it so mas effective yun..

Thanks for the feedback. RFID might not be feasible since we are more concerned about work actually being done than his presence at site. We've had incidents kasi where the driver slept inside the vehicle to pad overtime
