accepting a second job

Hi Attorney and fellow forum members,

I just have an inquiry about accepting a second job. I am currently employed in a company and another company is giving me a job offer. The second company is not a direct competitor of the first one. Both are IT jobs but my role in the second is more of consulting and the first one is more on engineering. The time of work is also different.

My questions are:
> is it legal if I accept the second job?
> there will be separate contributions for SSS. Philhealth and PAG IBIG that will be deducted from me and I am ok with that but does it have any legal conflict?

Hi Council,

I already did before posting here and there is nothing about accepting a second job is written there.

You may have to consider if the second job may affect your performance in the current job.

I have assessed my workload prior to posting here. Thanks for your concern though I am inquiring on the legal side as seen on my first post. Hope to hear from others too.
