Usually merong duration yan. "you cannot work for a competitor within two years". And usually merong nakasulat yan na penalty, "if you do you can be charged for P20,000.00"

It is legal as long as it is reasonable. Kung nakasulat na forever kang hindi pwede, usually na invalidate yan. If ang penalty ay P10 mil and minimum wage lang ang sahod mo, usually mainvalidate yan as well

as long as you signed on the last page valid yung contract. Ang point lang hindi clear cut yung damages, so pwedeng itaas or ibaba yung figure ng court if they find against you. 1 year is not unreasonable depending on your position. Yung "any related business" is also valid unless you can prove na too inconsequential yung position mo to do any harm to the employer.

then they will need to come up with an amount and justify it if they sue you. harder for them if walang amount but pwede parin as long as the court finds it "reasonable"
