I worked in a company where we teach korean kids online. I've worked there for 1 year and 1 month. Then I decided to resign because our salary was late for like 4 days and apply for another job. I thought that it would be nicer if I have a part time job, so I contacted the students I had in my previous company. But they found that out and wanted to sue me. Is that ok? Eventhough I don't have any contract with them?

The act that you did is usually covered by a non-competition clause if there was an employment contract in the first place. Since wala naman contract, your previous employer has the burden of proving that they have a policy or practice that generally prohibits contacting their clients by their previous employees for business purposes.
