Good day! I'd like to ask about the legalities of terminating someone before their 6 months floating status period ends.

Is this possible or should we advise them to resign with the agreement that sep pay will still be awarded to them? Thanks!

You cannot ask them to resign.

If you terminate the employment before the end of the 6 month period lapses, you might be liable for illegal dismissal.
