barangay procedures

hi i need advice please. I filed several cases against my in law and they also filed counter charges in our barangay. we were already given certificate to file action and i already submitted the case to MTC. My father in law then came here in our house and harassing us to withdraw the case, he even threatened to chop our heads off. I filed another case in the barangay and we already had our first hearing. The barangay official said that the counter charge initially filed to us needs to be repeated and we need to attend another 5 sets of hearing. Im under the impression that the barangay just wants to have it revised maybe so they can add additional charges to us. can that happen? can they really summon us for another set even both parties already have cfa? please help
