Arresto Menor

recently, my officemate was surprised that she had excessive Vacation leaves totaling to 12 days. She was verbally informed by her manager that he will deduct 8 days from her pay for the pay period and the rest of it on the next pay period. My officemate asked if he could lessen the deductions for the said pay period and just deduct the rest from her following pay period to distribute it evenly in such a way that it will not have a massive impact on her pay, but he said a firm NO. Is it legal to do that? pale

it is not illegal because she would not have been entitled to the pay in the first place. the question is really whether there were excessive vacation days.
