WORK SUSPENSION FOR ONE WEEK WITHOUT VALID REASON AND WRITTEN ADVISE

Hi I just want to ask, My employer suspended me for one week he did not give me a written letter that i was suspended, he just told me that i was suspended due to i was late on that day for about 1 to hours, without any warning letter or memo, he told me verbally that i was suspended. I need to find ways to make money because in his office rules no work no pay. so i decided to AWOL , as far as i know, i dont remember any employment contract i signed when he hired me. what should i do about this? he keep on telling me that i should pay some amount of money regarding with expenses he made during my tenure of work...
