Hi.. I have been employed as an accounting staff and verbally my boss told me that if there are late filing (BIR, SSS, etc..) which will result to my negligence, he will hold my salary until the task is done, and i agreed. though penalties resulting to the late filing is not discussed if it will charge to me or not..

Is our verbal agreement legal??

And it did happened, i overlooked 1 BIR form to file before the due date and resulted to minimal penalty.. As agreed, the boss did not give me my salary, can I file a case against the company? is it legal for the boss for charge to me whatever penalties and charges??

In theory they can charge the penalties to you since it was through your negligence that the company has to pay them.
