Implicit conditions in the contract

Hi po atty. I am planning not to renew my contract in my current employer which is until May 2015. But I have signed a Fellowship contract last 2013 when I did my 6 mos reseach abroad. In the contract, I believe nasunod ko naman po. Now that I have inform my boss of my plan he told me about the existing policy on fellowship grant na magserve ng certain number of years sa company or i shall pay a certain amount. When I review my contract Section 6 states that "the grantee must return to the (name of the company) after the complition of the research" which I did mag 1 year na po after ako nakabalik. Ano po ba ang masusunod the conditions stipulated in the contract or those that in the policy?

in my opinion, if you did not sign any contract regarding the length of stay after taking such training then there is no basis to charge you anything.
