generally, none, because damage settlements are not considered income

Is there a tax rule that i can present to the company to prove this. They deducted 32% withholding tax and i would want to claim it back. Thank you

ah, if you already received the money and signed a quit claim before a labor arbiter, it will be very difficult now to try to change that.

The amount in the waiver states the gross amount but when they credited it to my account, tax was withheld already

inform the arbiter in writing. we call it a manifestation, but just state what happened and copy furnish the employer before filing it with the arbiter
