Arresto Menor

Nag-apply po ng passport yung anak ko na menor de edad. Kaso ang nakalagay po Place of Birth sa NSO niya eh yung lying in clinic kung saan siya pinanganak. Ayaw po tanggapin ng DFA yung NSO niya kasi daw po dapat yung mismong city ang nakalagay. Sabi po nila matagal daw pong proseso ito? Ano po ba ang unang hakbang na dapat gawin? 14 pa lang po ang anak ko at wala na po akong balita sa asawa ko. Pero legitimate child po siya. Makakaapekto po ba yun sa pag-aayos? At kailangan ko po ba kumuha pa ng abogado upang maayos ang birth certificate niya?

Hi,

Kailangan ng Court Action to correct the birth place of your child in the birth certificate. Hindi naman makaka-apekto yung fact na wala ka balita sa asawa mo, kasi pwede naman ikaw. And hindi naman maaapektuhan yung legitimacy ng anak mo dahil lang sa pagpalit ng place of birth. Since it will involve court action, yes, kailangan po kumuha ng abogado for that.
