Hello.

I need a legal advice regarding the application of maternity leave in a manufacturing Industry. My cousin is a regular employee and she is pregnant and want to avail her Mat leave sooner coz this was her first baby.

Her due date was May 10. According to the constitution what will be the exact date to avail her leave?

Thanks in advance.

File for MAT 1 at SSS or in their HR. The person who will cater her MAT 1 can already guide her for the steps

Okay. She already done filing the MAT-1 in her company. She will avail it one (1) month before her due date. Is it legal? Or it must one month after her filing?

And the company must pay her 2weeks before due date and another 4weeks after delivery of her salary even she is on maternity leave?

Thanks
