hi everyone!

im new here and I really need your legal opinions/views..

i'm literally a mistress as my partner's annulment case is frustratedly still ongoing. he and his wife are separated for more than six years and has an on-going annulment case. legally speaking the wife and children are still his primary beneficiaries (though the children are of legal ages already). my partner and I have 2 kids, ages 3 & 6, respectively.

my question is, can he make a last will and testament and name us as his beneficiaries? we talked about it but have not yet consulted a lawyer about this matter. we thought it best to have some "control" over the disposition of whatever "inheritance" (in this case, monetary benefits from employment and insurance companies as there are no properties involved).

please enlighten me on this matter. thank you!
