if a contractual employee is terminated, is he entitled for 13th month pay? if he is, when can he get the pay?

he's been working under contract for almost 6 years, pa renew renew lang hanggang umabot ng six years. then one day, bigla na lang sya pinauwi ng supervisor nya then asked him to go sa agency where he is under. tapos pgdating sa agency, pinapapirma xa na end of contract nya na nun mismong araw na un. he did not sign it. anu po bang pwede nya gawin, kasi all of a sudden nawalan na xa ng work.. napakahirap po humanap ng work nowadays.. please give us ideas.. thank you..

It's really difficult to file Illegal dismissal when you are under agency. But you can try

if he wants to contest the termination, he can file a complaint at nlrc. his lawyer should argue there was continuous hiring, and he was a contractual for more than one year. include the company where he was assigned.
