My friend has submitted a notarized document in New York The document was notarized in Quezon City, Philippines. The government agency in New York was asking him to submit another document that will show that the one who notarized the document is indeed an accredited notary public. Where can he get this certificate? Thank you so much for the help!

Hello,

Each Notary is given a commission by Executive Judge of the city where he got his commission. They have supervision over the activities of the Notary, including certifying whether they are Notaries in good standing.

I suggest that your friend should go to the Quezon City Hall of Justice. Have him go to the lobby and check the counters for notarial concerns. He should tell the person in charge the story, and they should be able to issue the certification there.

Hope this helps.
