What about Atty. in a situation wherein a filipina lives together with a foreigner and during the time that they are together they both bought properties under the filipina's name. Though is has contract of lease and mortgage but no money is involved between the 2. Now that they're separated, can they have share 50/50 of the properties? Knowing that aliens can't own properties in Phil. and he only make use of the filipina to own properties, can the contracts be cancelled?

Thanks.

lucky pinay, the law will consider them both in bad faith and leave them as they are, meaning the pinay as sole owner. but maybe better to sell and split proceeds so no bad blood. but if foreigner tries to take it for himself, the law will not be on his side.
