I am currently 17 years old and my 19 year old boyfriend got me pregnant. I was never forced or threatened to have sex with him. He is now employed, providing me all my needs and saving up money for our baby. My mom wants him to be arrested for having sex with a minor. Can he be put behind bars even if I agreed to have sex with him in my own will?

PS. I will turn 18 a month before giving birth

yes, it is a crime even if sex was consensual. seduction is the act of having intercourse with a woman who is above 12 and below 18.

is there any way to oppose the case filed against my boyfriend? is there a way to win it? i'm thinking about my baby. i don't want his/her father to have a bad record.

in seduction, the aggrieved party is allowed to issue a pardon. issue one in writing and have it notarized. it's a gray area issue because you are still a minor, but at least he can use it for his defense in case your mother also files a case.
