Good afternoon.

First of all, i want to thank you for the big help you gave me before.

Right now, i want to ask about another prolem. My mom is a lisenced nurse (RN), but she is working in a school as a school nurse for already 14 years. The employer calls her employment status "Regular Seasonal Employee" and she has not been regularized in the institution upto the present. Is there a legal thing such as "Regular Seasonal Employee"? it sounds stupid to me but if there is something like this, could it last for 14 years (and counting)? I am wondering if this is lawful. We are wondering if we can file something against the school for not making her a regular employee for 14 years.

Also, this makes my mom a "no work, no pay", "no vacation leave", and "no sick leave" employee. the school gave the teachers their leave and incentives, and the school will give their March 31st salary on April 1st. My mom is not entitled of having incentives so having a late pay is hard on her part.

i am hoping for a response, and i know you will be able to help us with this because you already helped me before.

thank you very much.

God bless you and the people involoved in this site.

same scenaries. if your going to look at my post title "no work no pay" for almost a decade stay lng dito ang karamihan sa ka trabaho ko in a term and contract agreement as consultant. and its a continous reneuable contract evry 6 months.
"regular seasonal employee" ba kamo? wow. what a term. regular nga? seasonal naman.. hehehe:)

anyway.. besides my employer and the school wer momy is working as a nurse, are not forcing us to work on them. its simply saying.. "take it? or leave it?" cge wait na lng din ako ng coments from the experts sa post mo.

thanks for your replies. well is there a chance that we can sue the institution? and anong pwedeng case? ang daya kasi every summer vacation hindi nila pinapapasok ang mom ko without pay. not like in other schools, may ibang pinapatrabaho sa nurse nila kahit 80% lang ng sweldo ang ibigay at least meron.. and ang teachers alam ko probationary status ang employment or three years. but my mom is not a teacher and she was there for 14years now. and besides, my mom didnt apply there, she was offered the job. hindi na lang siya makaalis dun dahil overage na kung hahanap pa ng new employer... ang unfair na. Is there a thing such as Regular Seasonal Employee? yan ang nilagay ng employer(school) na employment status ng mom ko nung humingi siya ng COE last time eh. And yun nga.

Mad

but my mom is a school nurse, Atty.. so does it still apply to her? and for nearly 15 years now, her employment status is like that. new employees in the school got their incentives this march, but my mom didn't.
