Good day!

Just want to ask the following questions:

1. Does an e-mailed resignation letter valid?
2. Since I notified my employer of my immediate resignation thru e-mail, Can I still be considered AWOL in spite of the said notice? Can I still be considered AWOL in spite of the fact the I haven't signed any employment contract from the time of my employment?
3. My boss said he would file a complaint with Department of Labor against me due to the (personal)monetary obligations I left with him to which I indicated in my notice that I am waiving my last salary as payment to all of my personal debts to him?
