Hi, I just have a question regarding divorce and remarry in another country involving a Filipino and a foreigner.

The situation is a Filipina married to a japanese (they got married in Japan) and both wants to divorce their marriage.

First question, can the Filipina remarry to another Japanese or a Filipino after the divorce?

Do they need to file a divorce in the Philippine Emabassy to remarry?

After the divorce, will the Filipina immediately lose her visa considering she has been recently approved to stay for three years?

i think you should consult someone/lawyer from japan

the process is for the japanese man to file the divorce, not the filipino wife.

once it is granted, she can seek recognition of the divorce in philippine courts, and then she can remarry.
