Hi, Im currently working abroad. I have a 2 years contract and I was registered in POEA. If I finish my contract and I plan to join competitor in PH. Based on my non-disclosure agreement from the company they stated that "I cannot join any competitor for 1 year" can I violate the agreement if I join competitor company in PH. Is there any violation for this case? Please advise. Thanks

no violation. the employer overseas never competes with employer locally.

to give you example, if you are working for a call center in makati that serves verizon as customer, you cannot join a call center in ortigas having the same verizon customer.

since two countries are involved, never by any chance that the company in wherever kingdom is legally recognized as a competitor in ph.
