Arresto Menor

I made a loan in Hongkong last 1998 and was not able to pay it since I went back to the Philippines. after 14 yrs a collection agency sent me a demand letter to pay my loan which already amounted to HKD38,000 when in fact my loan was only between only 10k to 15k hongkong dollar. Can they sue me for this? Please help I need your advise.thanks
