Atty. Good morning.

First post ko po.

I would like to inquire if an employer is allowed to deduct a fix amount, let us say P50.00, whenever an employee is late for about 1 minute to 15 minutes?

Secondly, for determining the daily rate of a monthly employees, is dividing it by 30 fair and reasonable? The computation as shown below:

Daily Rate = Monthly Rate / 30

They use the answer here as the basis for the computation of our Overtime rate.

if the daily rate is greater than or equal to the minimum wage in your area, that is fine.

as for deduction, i find that unlawful
