Good day to you atty! I just want to ask for an advice regarding the birth certificate of my son. When I gave birth to him it was only at home with a midwife. We didn't register his birth at time because me and his father were not married yet. So we just decided to register his birth after marriage so no more complications will come later on. His father at that time was in abroad and his supposed date of coming home will be after 2 years as per his contract. I tried to apply abroad also since I am a registered nurse as influence of my collegues. To make it short we got married 2007 and our son was already 4 years old at that time. Now we are planning to take him with us here in abroad but we cannot be able to acquire his bc since it was not registered before and it was our fault. So, atty what is the best and easiest way to do regarding this matter. Do we need to take a private lawyer to fix this? We are both here so we could not be there personally so can we just authorize my mother to do all the paper works? Thank you in advance for your valuable response atty. More power to you! God bless!

My mom registered my daughter at local civil registrar. I was out of town that time until now fór work. I would like to ask if my mom can register my daughter under her name.? And is it possible that she, my mom, can register her name as my daughter's mother?

then you'll have to spend for a dna exam. if she chooses to, then she can claim for her expenses. you can sue her for simulation of birth.
