If the foreigner decides to file a complaint, your wife will be given the opportunity to defend herself. Once the complaint is filed with the Office of the Prosecutor, your wife be summoned to appear on such dates as may be specified and she will be instructed to submit her Counter-Affidavit.

By the way, where is the money now? From your story, it does not appear that gay culprit was able to withdraw the 500k from the bank account of your wife. It is likely that the foreigner only wants to recover the 500k and he will agree to drop charges once the money is returned to him.
