Hello Everyone,

I would like to know if employers have the rights to prevent an employee to seek new employment? If an employee felt that he is no longer effective with his role and is receiving no support, either emotionally or professionally, and the company has no clear path for career development, this might lead for the employee to contemplate looking for a new employment. Is it legal for an employer to prevent this from happening without any just cause whatsoever? Especially if the employee is not locked in a contract?

Thanks!
