Good day.
Saakin po nka apilido ang anak ko. Pero nirerecognize nmn sya ng tatay nya. Wala lang daw oras para ausin ung birthcertificate. Should i still get a written acknowledgement ? Also can we also draft a childsupport agreement ? Would that be considered as a legal document? Tia.

1. If he did not sign the birth certificate, you should get an Affidavit of Paternity and Affidavit of Consent for the use of his surname. The Philippine Statistics Office and the Local Civil Registry will not just take your word for it that your child was acknowledged.

2. Yes. Hire a lawyer to help you.
