ExHusband refused to surrender mortgage property where wife was the borrower.

Hi.  I need advice.  
Me and my husband applied for a vehicle loan wherein I am the borrower but we got separated for some personal issues.  We are not legally separated, sad truth we are still married.  I cannot pay the monthly amortization because I am the one providing for my 2 children.  The financing company runs after me and asking to return the property but it is with my husband and he is hiding it from us.  What legal action can I make to recover the property or can the financing company run directly to him since i am cooperating with them?  Can I file a carnapping case to my legal husband?

Please help.  I'm hoping somebody will give attention to my inquiries.
