Hi po,

May habol po ba ako if biglaang na-cancel ung event namin dahil sa biglaang advise ng upper management? The advise led to damages sa reputation ko and also nabaon po ako sa utang worth 150k. Wala po kaming contract or any agreement pero may acknowledgement and correspondence po ako sa email regarding this transaction in preparation of the event. Ang target opening is November 14, Monday.

I am an organizer of seasonal bazaars and since christmas season, nag plan kami na mag open ng bazaar sa Venice Piazza, in Mckinely Hill Taguig this November. Ang planning stages namin nagstart 4th week of Sept. My problem started last Oct., when I, in good faith, contacted Megaworld Corp.'s venue, Venice Piazza located in Mckinley Hill Taguig. Simula po nung nagkaroon kami ng confirmed booking sa said venue last month, nagsimula na po kami mag hanap ng mga 30+ sellers na ipapa pesto sa venue at nagcollect na din po ako ng booth participation fee (15k per seller kasama na kita namin and mga gagastusin) para sa gagawing event. Habang nag coordinate na din ako sa representative ng venue about what needs to be done and what are the restrictions of the said event thru email, viber and sms. Everything went smooth and maraming exchange of emails and acknowledgement from the representative. May mga written informal agreements and negotiations between me and the representative.

Laking shock ko lng po when 5 days before the event, saka nag announce si Megaworld representative na bawal na daw pumasok ung ibang sellers (15 rtw sellers) kc biglaang "new directive ng upper management". Problema po is biglaan sila nag advise when 100% ready na po sa side namin lahat and ung mga binabawal nila na sellers ay 100% bayad na din po samin. (since kami ang middle man nila) Ang malaki pa pong gulo is ginastos na din po namin ung portion of the funds collected para sa event materials (props, facade, suppliers etc). Dahil po sa biglaang announcement nila, napilitan po ako mag cancel ng event dahil kelangan namin i-refund ung mga sellers na indi na pinasasali ng last minute. If itutuloy kasi namin ung event sa Megaworld, mas magagastusan pa kami dahil sa mga "additional requirements" na hinihingi nila na indi sinabi ng maaga ng representative ng venue. Dahil lng po sa biglaang "new rule" ng mga bosses nila, na disregard kagad ung agreement namin before at hugas kamay ung representative.

At this point, i feel na unfair po ginawa sakin (samin). Napilitan po ako at ngaun kelangan ko bayaran ung mga sellers dahil sa nangyari. Indi ko kasalanan ung nangyari. What should I do at this point? Pwede ko ba habulin ang Megaworld dahil sa ginawa nila sakin bilang organizer? Also ung mga sellers syempre po nagagalit sakin (dahil ako ang kausap nila) at demand din nila ibalik ko 100% money nila. Yung iba gusto din ako kasuhan dahil sa biglaang pag cancel ng event. Dahil po dito malaki po damage sa reputasyon ko bilang event organizer at nasisira po ako dahil sa social media post ng ibang sellers. I want to file a case or charge Megaworld for damages to monetary loss, reputation and also causing me anxiety brought about by their sudden changes.

Sa side din ng sellers, nakabili na din sila ng mga paninda at gusto nila bayaran ko din mga nagastos nila sa side nila pati po ang efforts na ginugul nila para sa preparations nila sa event. Naiintindihan ko po sila but then indi ko kasalanan toh at napilitan lng ako kaya damage control nlng ginawa ko.
