I started my training/employment January 23,2015 and eventually resigned last June 7,2015. We have a training contract that says' that in the event the second party fails to continuously work with the first party for a period of one year from the date of regularization, she shall reimburse the first party of the training program/course expenses amounting ti 50,000 pesos'.

I only stayed for 5 mos.and did not even finished the whole training but then when they have given me my separation pay they have deducted the 50k.

Please let me understand if they can or cannot deduct the training expenses on me. Thank you.

The condition of the "expenses" is not illegal and you had the option to refuse the contract.

But you signed the contract so you are bound by the conditions therein.

semantics. generally the contract means you have to stay for 1 year after regularization but the clause still covers you from the hire date.
