hi. my sister has been using oct 31 1975 as her birth date on all documents from schools to all valid IDs, it also reflects on her son's birth certificate.it turns out later on that her nso birth certificate shows a different birthdate, jan 31, 1976. i read on previous forums that the petition for correction entry may take from 6mos-1yr. we haven't started the petition and we are going out of the country in december. now, if we file this month, can she apply for a passport while the petition to correct her info is under way? thanks.
