[b] I am divorced with my ex-husband who is still a Filipino. I am a neutralized British, not dual. My ex husband sent me an SPA as there is a buyer in one of the properties we have. But I did not sign it and send it back to him as it is still stated in the SPA that we are still married. Have I done the right thing?

If I will use the SPA from the Philippine embassy, can I write my name then maiden name then nee (my ex husband's surname)?

were you already a british national when you filed the petition for divorce?

if your divorce was not yet recognized through a judicial petition, then you are technically still married under philippine law.

then i think it's technically ok to issue that SPA. you can file a petition for recognition of foreign judgment so your divorce will be recognized here.
