About Promissory note

Hi,

May pumunta sa office na collection agency agents. Sinisingil nila ko regarding sa current account ko, which is di ko naman talaga tatakbuhan. Then binigyan nila ako ng option to pay it on Monday at gumawa ng promisorry note. Ayaw ko una, pero sinabi nila na papadating nila sa HR ang issue na to and it would cause me ng loss of job. Natakot ako dun, so gumawa ako.
Baka kasi d ko mabayaran ung amount kasi wala ako mahiraman.
Is it legal ba ung promisorry note? At makasuhan ako.
Someone told me na di legal ang promissory note if wala kang lawyer sa tabi mo, at di rin lawyer ang katapat mo/or wla silang kasamang lawyer.

to my mind it's enforceable, unless you can convince the judge that they threatened to go to your hr.

not having lawyers is a non-issue
