This is my firs time posting here.. hinge po sana ako advice with company policies.. Im affiliated with the Pharmaceutical industry and i was wondering if unlawful po yong gina gawa nang company.. We have a company policy on company car that employee has the right to buy his/her assigned car if the car reaches 5 years and as long as the car is being driven by the employee at least 1 year. may car supposedly on due on 2010 but during the start of the year they changed the policy that the employee should be with the company at least 3 years. with that the car was extended for an additional 1 year, it was extended up to may 3 ,2011. During that time I called office for the confirmation of the car due. They said that there was a delay with the releasing of the new cars due to the problem with LTO, I waited up to june this year still there was no confirmation for me to buy the car. Then suddenly during june one of the managers explained the that company will be extending all the car dues up to next year due to the companies profitability. There were no official Memo for this. I have plans to resign at the end of july this year. as an employee of this company do I have the right to fight for my right to buy the car before I resign? can a company change its policy with out notice? Employees cars due at the first quarter of this year were able to buy their car. the car is pretty much over due, can a company just forever extend this kind of things? is it unfair?
