who own the property after my late husband's death

The house and lot is own by my deceased husband's mother.we live their dec. 2000 and we added one room as an extension in 2001 in that house using our own money, my mother in law is a solo owner in that house and suddenly died at 2005 without leaving any will.my husband was died last 2009, i remarry again and no longer live in that room with my 2 kids, the problem is that my deceased husband sister thinks that the house and the room that we build belongs to her.Do i and my kids has a right on that house especially the room that we built? what happen to the property that i remarried again?do my kids has a right?if somebody rent on that room?who receive the payment of the renter?

when mother died, your husband and sister became co-owners of the property. it did not become conjugal property.

Hi good evening, in your advise i can see that me and my kids has a right in that property...I have a renter and she sign a contract when she go to our apartment ask a favor that she want to rent my room..this month they did not pay the rent to me..they pay to my sister of my late husband..that's why i'm so mad of my renter and i go to their store near the fish market and ask why is it that you give the money to them, and she said i have no right on that house coz i married again..i said to her, "you go to my apartment and ask me so that you can rent my room and now you rent to another person"(sister of my late husband)?...I'm so tired of this, all i want is the right of my kids...What should i do to make it legal, that my kids has a right also...Can we divide that lot and house eventhough my mother in law is died?give me some advise....thanks

you have to settle the estate of the person who owned the property so that it can be transferred to you.
