Arresto Menor

my friend was allegedly been filed for child abuse. the case is set for hearing next month... the case is being handled by the Ombudsman already. Just want to inquire what are his chances because the child who is already an adult now does not want to pursue the case anymore and gave her desistance.. She didn't even filed for the complaint.. She just spoken to a person regarding what had happened allegedly and that person was the one filed the case.. She didn't even know it was pursued...Please advice
