My employer doesn't want to give me a copy of the contract I signed. Is it just ok if it's only her who has the copy? What should I do about this?

Try writing formally to your employer that you want to secure a copy of the contract, this to document your request. Contract is actually meeting of the minds of contracting parties and will be signed by both parties to make effectual. Did you sign all the pages of the contract? this would render you protected should they want to amend the said contract without your knowledge.

Also, if you are still connected with the said employer, this may be taken by your employer against you. So if nothing illegal is being done, it would also be an option for you to think about to let go of the copy at this time.Anyway in the event problem arises several documents can still prove your employment with them, i.e. sss deduction in your payslip, timecard records, leave forms signed by your immediate superior, etc....
