I caught my ex-gf cheating. Ofcourse no one admits that they are cheating. And I didn’t bought her allibi. So I thought of a way to find if she’s telling the truth or not. I stole her phone. Then I changed all her email passwords as well as her Facebook account. Then I started to check her FB messages and I found out just this July 23, 2018 that that they are together since May 2018. I also recovered all her deleted photos and videos from her phone. And I found a ton of proof that they realy have a relationship. After 3 days, I decided to give her phone back. Before that I restored the phone to factory settings. Then I installed an app that will track her location, sms going in and out of her phone will be accessible online so I can read everything. The reason why I did it is because, before I gave her phone back, we talked about fixing everything between us for the sake of our kids and she agreed to end her relationship with the other guy. I just wanted to make sure that they will stop their relationship and continue as a Family again with the kids. After I gave her phone back she started regaining access to all her accounts because I left it signed in so she can have access to all of her accounts again. So I started monitoring her SMS. And it seems that their relation ship didn’t stop at all. I even saw on their sms conversation that she asked the guy to change her Facebook password. So I was able to monitor their Facebook chat as well. So I gave up and told her that i knew from the beggining that their relationship didn’t end because I can read all their messages. Because I was so mad about what she did to me, I told her that I’m gonna kill that guy. I think about 3 times.
So our relationship ended. Now she’s pressing charges against me for installing a monitoring app on her phone ang threatening her new guy. All the threaths are verbal to her only. I didn’t evn confront the guy to tell him that I’m gonna kill him. No messages or sms about my threath to him.

I just want to know if I will have a case to face so I can get a lawyer.
Thank you.

There may be a criminal case filed against you for violation of the Anti-cybercrime Act of 2013.

What you did to your GF's phone amounts to having illegal access towards her messages and conversations. That is punishable under the said law.

However, it depends upon the case that your GF will file against you. Grave threats may also be filed against you.

You need to see a lawyer specializing in criminal law so that he can set the necessary defenses for your case.

Good luck.
