Hello I just want to ask if the Maceda Law he Realty Installment Buyer Act or Republic Act 6552 is higher than what developer(e.g Impire East) stated in the contract of real estate property. I demand to refund the 50% since that's in the MACEDA LAW stated. But the developer disagreed that they are not going to refund since it was on the contract then no refund is expected once the buyer decided to back out. My question is that Maceda LAw is still applicable even though they have stated in the contract that no refund policy?

Hello,

RA6552 reigns higher than any contract provided that you meet its requirement.
You may be able to get the 50% if you were able to give 24 payments.
Anything less than that and you only get a grace period.

How many payments have you made?
