I need some advice. Someone sold us tampered Carrier aircons. The aircon units are originally Matrix Units and the so called "distributor" tampered them with Carrier logos and stickers and sold to us as if they are carriers. We later found out when one of our customer told us he works for matrix and that our aircon are not carrier. I immediately talked to supplier and managed to arrange a meeting at our house and later on the supplier admitted that they are fake. The supplier is asking if we can just go for an agreement / settlement and ask us nicely not to sue them. Question now is how much will i settle? The amount they got from us is almost 260K. The fake units are still mounted in our office, house and stores. I am ok with the agreement / settlement but how much will i ask from them?
