Recently, the institution is aspiring for an international accreditation and all employees are required to attend to such activity. This was more than a week- long litany of seminars and employees on a rest day or night shift should also be present. No additional incentive or overtime pay was given to the staff. I am wondering if this is lawful?

dapat may bayad if required to attend but if ang instruction ng employer is kelangan kumuha ng accreditation yung employee then may grey area yan

For example the discussion/ lecture is about cascading new and revised policy for the institution as required by the accrediting body. Is it compensable? Employees are by force needed to attend even in cases of from night shift and rest day.

again if ang sabi ng employer is “you need to attend” then may bayad. if ang sabi ng employer is kelangan nyong kumuha ng accreditation or skills/certification at kayo na bahala kumuha amy instances na pwedeng walang bayad
