i would argue that technically it should not be allowed, especially if VL can be monetized, but many employers will take the hard position to force you to file a case if you want to complain.

hi me again, the thing is from the US, they are claiming that it is being implemented by the US office to all asia pacific bussinesses. nature of our company is BPO, but we are under the umbrella of a financial entity from the US. the VL are not convertible to cash. they had this or a memo about mandatory leaves to avoid fraudulent activities, it had been implemented to the philippin offices for the financial side but was put on hold to the bpo for some time, as they said. i mean are there legal channel about it? whom do i need to contact regarding this? thanks

are VL's allowed to be monetized? or accumulated from year to year?

you can make a report to the dole or file a complaint at the nlrc, but I'd think twice. this is not the kind of thing that is given priority.
