Hi Pinoylawyer, I have bought a house & lot few days ago and the seller is asking me to pay for the TAx Declaration/Return. do I really have to pay for that?

Please give some answer for this.

When I was still connected with the City Assessors of Davao City, issuing tax declaration tothe new owner by way of transfer is free. Ten years after, there is a city ordinance na magbayad na nag Pj=hp 25.00 per copy. You ask your city or municipal councilors if they have passed an ordinance to that effect. According to the Real Property Tax Code, Tax Declarations are free. Yes, we have a changing times.
