GOOD DAY HOPE SOMEBODY CAN GAVE ME AN ADVICE!

My mother and myself (I’m 25 years old) are accused of ESTAFA. There is an existing warrant for our arrest and at the moment we are hiding because we don’t have any fund to pay for our bail or to hire a lawyer. The accuser is my cousin (a seaman) who in compliance with his agents policy permanently entrusted his ATM card to my mother while he is assigned abroad. My mother and myself are now accused of unauthorized withdrawals to the tune of pesos 400,000.00 thru the years. My rule in this case is that I was only doing errand for my mother and all the money was given to my mother. My parents and myself are now unemployed because of this Estafa case. My questions are: 1) What are the immediate options that we should follow. 2) What are our best defense in this case? 3) How could we avail of free legal service? 4) Is intrusting the ATM card to my mother can be considered a tacit approval of those withdrawals.

i would try to get relatives to intercede so there can be a settlement.

how much is bail? you can file a motion to reduce bail, but ultimately, to face the case you have to subject your self to the jurisdiction of the court. the court can assign a lawyer to you.

did you not file a counter affidavit?
