Hi, I badly need you help. My shift is at 12am-9am with Sunday Monday off manila time. i was wondering why I was not paid holiday pay for May 1. Our payroll said its because my shift falls on 12am May 2 so therefore there are no premium. As far As I know, regardless if you have work or not, you should still get 100%. Am I right? What is really the process if the holiday pay falls on your restday? Thanks fin advance

since May 1 is a Monday, it falls on your rest day.

Even if the regular holiday is your rest day and you do not work, you are entitled to holiday pay as long as you worked the day immediately preceding the regular holiday.
