My husband of 20 years filed for divorce in the States, where he currently resides, but we were married (civil) here in the Philippines. If I sign it, would it be valid here? Would our dual citizenship be a factor? I appreciate any help you could provide.

Nauna po nag asawa ang father ko but until now di pa sya naging citizen. Nag asawa na din po ang mama ko and US citisen na po sya. Their marriage in the states po ay di naman arange. Talagang naghiwalay na po sila for good kc they dont love each other na. So ano na po status nila dito sa Philippines are they still married?

Thank you po atty. GOD BLESS.

1. What year were your parents married?

2. What year was the house and lot acquired, and is it titled property?

3. What money was used to buy the lot and build the house (donation, inheritance, etc)

4. Did your mother obtain a divorce in America?
