I am aware that paternity leaves are only for married fathers. However i wanted to clarify, can unmarried fathers go on leave ( even if unpaid ) upon the birth of the baby? Thank you!

Only fathers who are legally married to the mother of the child born and who are cohabiting with their legitimate wives may avail of this type of leave.

Check your employment contract or tour company rules. Some companies offer this to unmarried fathers.
