Hi really need an advise, 3 years ago I applied salary loan on a lending company and they approved, I have borrowed 20k and need to pay 24k, I made 3 consecutive payment to them 2400 every payroll and failed to continue because my employer have fired me due to health issues. Last year when i found new job i decided to continue making payment to them but they're asking me to pay 44k which in fact my balance is 18k only. They said due to penalties and legal fees. Can you advise what I need to do. Im willing to pay my balances but 44k I can't.

check the terms and conditions of your loan. probably the lender is in the right since it is not their fault that you lost your job. it is still your obligation to pay regardless if you have no job.
