i have a friend who recently came back from working abroad. he finished his contract in his previous company and now they are looking after him because they are telling he uses the money of the office and receipts etc. I would like to know if this kind of issue is punishable by our philippine law if this happened in other country? his office is also bothering him for creating fake fb profile of him to tract him but before this happen he was able to turn over all his work and he was given exit permit to leave the country. he is worried because he is receiving threats and his privacy is at stake due to fake fb profile. appreciate who can give us advice. thanks

Did your friend apply as an OFW abroad with the help of an agency? If yes, can he go to his agency to seek support and documentation regarding his previous employment?

Your friend should go to POEA as well for additional assistance regarding his issue, especially if he is innocent to begin with.
